Your average quality sofa today minimally cost $3,000. Although many furniture stores boast “Made in America” the truth is, most upholstered furniture today with a retail price up to $4,500

is assembled in America not made in America.  A great percentage of US furniture manufacturers purchase their parts from you know where!  Why?  Foreign cushioning foam is a fraction of the cost of ours. Generally that foam only lasts one to three years and most likely has a negative effect on the indoor air quality of your home. Need proof? Do a little on line research.

 

An average size foam seat cushion made right here in Massachusetts using our low V.O.C. polyPURE foam formula cost approx. $125.00. Not cheap but a good value considering with proper care it can last five times longer than its “land of the virus” cushions found in most furniture & fabric stores and local upholsterers. 

Our Foam Products

Our foam products are low VOC without the nasty chemicals and formulated specifically for The Custom Shop. Although synthetic, our Canary tested foams are a fantastic value compared to natural latex. With proper care you should expect a bare minimum of a 10-15 year lifespan and the perfect choice for those who care about indoor air quality.


A vast majority of foam that you purchase on line today and in most new furniture comes from overseas with an average lifespan 2-4 years. Most of these foam products outgas nasty chemicals in your home. Our foam is made in Massachusetts.
